Lough Erne is famous
for history and heritage. 6th century carved figures on White Island,
12th Century settlement on Devenish Island, Enniskillen Castle - there
is even a town called Garrison! To avoid invaders, many of the
settlements were built on islands, so having your own boat is a distinct
advantage - but transport can be provided.
